To "CURRICULUM N ° 4 – TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC REGULATION OF DISTRIBUTED GENERATION, offered by the Latin American Energy Organization with support of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety in Germany. This curriculum will begin on June 12th, 2020. and it will have a total of 3 months, whose material will be available during 12 months (until july 2022) and its content will be offered through online sessions, readings, interactions, discussion forums and questionnaires. It is estimated that you will have to dedicate around 8 hours per week to complete all the activities.
The material of the Basic course will be published progressively. The questionnaires have specific deadlines that cannot be extended.

CURRICULUM N ° 4 – TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC REGULATION OF DISTRIBUTED GENERATION
– The basic course is thought for professionals and technicians from different backgrounds, who work in the energy sector and have some general knowledge of electrical power systems.
– The intermediate course is aimed to electrical and industrial engineers with experience in the electricity sector.
Minimum Technical requirements:
• Personal Computer with operating system: Windows 8 or higher
• Microphone and speaker working
• Internet access with minimum bandwidth of 10 MB
Let’s say your boss has told you that your team isn’t strong enough and that you need to get better at assessing and developing talent. Your initial reaction might be something like What? She’The curriculum includes a basic course, an intermediate course, a webinar – lessons learned and a webinars cycle.
• Basic Course: The objective is to provide conceptual bases of the subject matter; it will be open to all interested public in the energy sector.
• Intermediate Course: The objective is to deepen the subject in the use of tools and methodologies for proper regulation of DG.
• Webinar – Lessons Learned: Present an applied case of the topic or an applied case of the use of some tool.
• Webinars Cycle: Present policies successfully implemented for DG developments wrong. My team is strong. Most of us respond defensively to that sort of criticism. But as soon as you recognize what you’re thinking, ask yourself, Is that accurate? What facts do I have to support it? In the process of reflection you may discover that you’re wrong and your boss is right, or that the truth lies somewhere in between—you cover for some of your reports by doing things yourself, and one of them is inconsistent in meeting deadlines; however, two others are stars. Over the past decade or so, most leaders have grown familiar with the concept of self-awareness.
Since the restructuring of the electrical systems around the world 30 years ago, and the proliferation of Distributed Generation from the beginning of the new millennium, many lessons have been learnt both from the regulatory perspective as well as from the technical perspective in relation to Distributed Generation.
This considers technical issues, such as the connection of Distributed Generation to the distribution network and the impacts produced, such as losses, use of the circuits, power quality and reliability, but also how to reflect these different technical aspects in the arrangements and tariffs setting.
Cost reflective methodologies that recognize the real costs and benefits of Distributed Generation are necessary and should be put in practice to avoid inadequate incentives in the electrical power systems.
This curriculum covers these aspects both from a theoretical point of view, but also from a practical perspective, showing some cases of study and the lessons learnt.
