The possibility of using any energy resource has different impacts on men and women, therefore, decision-making spaces on energy must consider that it is not an exclusively technical and gender-neutral issue.

The design of public policies for the energy sector should have a team sensitive to the gender approach and this space includes contributing to the generation of capacities to reduce the inequality gaps between men and women in the access and control of necessary energy resources for their development and sustainable livelihoods.
