Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A just energy transition has established itself as a central axis for the sustainable development of Latin America and the Caribbean, requiring not only changes in the energy matrix, but also the incorporation of criteria regarding social equity, territorial development, environmental sustainability, and gender inclusion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within this framework, the LACME Network convenes a high-level dialogue panel composed of female leaders from the energy sectors of Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, with the objective of analyzing current challenges, sharing experiences, and reflecting on the construction of more sustainable and inclusive energy systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>2. Study Plan Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>1. Opening and Contextualization of the Energy Sector &#8211; 15 min<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Institutional presentation of the LACME Network and introduction to the current context of the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting the just energy transition process as a central axis of regional sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main transformations linked to the following will be addressed:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The transition toward cleaner and more resilient energy matrices<\/li>\n<li>The sustainable management of natural resources and their impact on territories<\/li>\n<li>The need for regulatory policies that incorporate social and gender equity<\/li>\n<li>The role of technological innovation and digitalization in the future of energy employment<\/li>\n<li>The importance of integrating local communities into energy planning processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, an updated overview of women&#8217;s participation in the sector will be presented, discussing existing gaps and challenges to guarantee an inclusive, equitable energy transition with sustainable labor opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cross-cutting themes of the panel:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Just energy transition<\/li>\n<li>Natural resources and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Gender approach and labor inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Public policies and regulation<\/li>\n<li>Community, territory, and social license<\/li>\n<li>Innovation, digitalization, and new skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Block 1: Challenges (suggested 30\u201335 min)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Analysis of the main challenges facing the region to advance toward a just energy transition, including:<\/li>\n<li>Persistence of gender gaps in technical employment, leadership, and decision-making<\/li>\n<li>Territorial inequality in access to labor opportunities within the energy sector<\/li>\n<li>Social impacts of energy projects on local communities<\/li>\n<li>Training deficits in technical, digital, and innovation skills<\/li>\n<li>Regulatory, institutional, and cultural barriers to the inclusion of women<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A reflection will be promoted on how these challenges particularly affect the participation of women and underrepresented groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Block 2: Opportunities (suggested 30\u201335 min)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Identification of emerging opportunities associated with the regional energy transition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employment growth in renewable energies, energy efficiency, and digitalization<\/li>\n<li>New professional profiles linked to technological innovation and sustainable management<\/li>\n<li>Development of local value chains with a territorial approach<\/li>\n<li>Public policies and international programs that promote gender equity<\/li>\n<li>Professional networks, mentorships, and regional cooperation spaces for women in energy<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Examples of best practices and successful experiences in the region will be highlighted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Block 3: Current Situation and Perspectives (suggested 25\u201330 min)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presentation of an updated overview of the regional energy sector considering:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Current status of the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean<\/li>\n<li>Trends in the energy labor market<\/li>\n<li>Current participation of women in different areas of the sector<\/li>\n<li>Projections of talent demand and future competencies<\/li>\n<li>Strategic recommendations to strengthen a just, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This block will allow linking challenges and opportunities with concrete actions for the professional development of the participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>3. General Objective of the Panel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To generate a regional dialogue space on the just energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean, led by high-level professional women belonging to the associations of the LACME Network, with the purpose of analyzing the main challenges, opportunities, and transformations of the energy sector from a strategic, inclusive, and territorial perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event will seek to promote the exchange of knowledge and reflections on policies, innovation, sustainable development, and employment, and contribute to the strengthening of a more equitable, sustainable, and socially just energy transition in the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>4. Training Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All study plan material will be stored in OLACDE&#8217;s knowledge community: https:\/\/capevlac.olade.org\/, consisting of: lessons, links for each synchronous session, and reference and evaluation tools.
